Apologies for the lame auto-generated title of this blog. I have just launched it (21 July 2026) as an outlet for some inconsequential musings about the trials and occasional triumphs of modern life. I’ll update it when I think of something better.
I have been a journalist for more than 50 years and, having recently retired, this is the first time I have felt moved to put words into the public domain without expecting payment for them. I will be writing about anything that takes my fancy, for no particular audience. Vanity publishing perhaps, but I hope to stimulate thought and possibly debate among readers. The main idea is to air the day-to day frustrations we all suffer, and by sharing them with others, provide an outlet to let off steam. Maybe even, through response and debate, we can find small ways to make our lives better.
